"Don't worry mom, I cleaned my plate."
I finished up my first week today. Overall, I think that things have gone very well. I’ve been getting along great with both Scot and Tamara, I have plenty of things to keep me busy, and I’m enjoying what I am working on.
Today was a little more laid back than the previous couple of days. I did a lot of data entry for clients, future clients, potential partners, and other resources. I took information and put it into our database of all of our contacts. I did some organizing of pre-existing information and also some deleting of information. This was all done to clean up our contact list in order to make the most valuable organizations and contacts easy to find. When you know where things are, it is much easier to find them in a timely fashion.
Part of my duties at RevBuilders include helping to make the office run more efficiently. That means that I try to come up with new ideas to implement, but also to do some of the workload in order to free up Scot and Tamara.
I researched some potential media contacts today. Through local magazines and newspapers, I was able to find local writer and editors that RevBuilders will be able to send content to in the future. This will allow us to distribute press releases and articles to these publications. It will benefit us as we continue to spread the word about ourselves, but it will also benefit our clients as the articles will feature the clients and their success through RevBuilders.
In celebration of my first week on the RevBuilders team, my wonderful boss, Scot, decided to take us out for lunch. It was a good change of scenery and to have more casual conversation. We got to know each other on a more personal level. It was a great way to finish off the week.
